Maine Department of Public Safety's Liquor Licensing is responsible for, among other things:

• Issuing and renewing licenses to sell, make, or transport all liquor in Maine

• Clarifying and and enforcing all Maine laws concerning liquor

• Preventing violations of liquor laws

• Inspecting licensed establishments for compliance to laws and regulations
