Parents & Community: What you can do

As parents and/or community members, you are key stakeholders in reducing high-risk alcohol use by young people. You have a great deal of influence over the kind of environment college students are exposed to. For example, you can have a great impact on what students' perceive as "normal" and acceptable behavior, how available alcohol is to those under 21, and how supported law enforcement is in their consistent and proactive enforcement of liquor laws and related violations.

The partnership has created a brochure for parents on ways they can protect the investment they have made in thier child and their education.*

Parents: Protect Your Investment WORD (106 KB) / PDF (90 KB)

*The brochure is based on a model from the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention.
