Educators

As educators, you know are probably far too familiar with the effects of high-risk alcohol use on students' lives and thier academic performance. Our Partnership's work aims to reduce high-risk drinking and its impact not only those engaging in the behavior but also those who experience second hand effects. This includes other students, faculty and staff, and the community.

As individuals professionally invested in the success of college students while enrolled and beyond, you are key partners in prevention. You are in a great position to create discussion on the issue, dispel myths students often have, and recognize when a student may be struggling with personal issues such as alcohol or drug abuse.

The partnership has created a brochure for educators on ways they can impact students' high-risk drinking and its effect on academic performance.*

Faculty Brochure Word (140 KB) or PDF (88 KB)

*The brochure is based on a model from the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention.
